Whenever possible calculate actual values as follows:

Load in btu/hr = (range x gpm) x 500
Cooling Range = (btu load/gpm)/500
GPM = (btu load/range)/500
Cooling Range = (inlet to tower - desired outlet)
bhp = Brakehorse power
gpm = Gallons per minute
500 = 8.33lb/gal x 60 minutes
1 ton = 15,000 btu/hr
